Uk people has anybody gone for an ESA essment for mental health?

It is a positive thing that you are going before the panel. The ESA capability essments are notoriously fickle and do not fully accommodate mental health issues, the tests carried out are more concerned about physical issues, worse still, they are normally carried out by people who work for a third party and are not employees of the DWP. These third parties are 'for profit' organisations that get paid a bonus for every 'sickie' they get into work. Due to this, many people who are unable to work because of mental health reasons find that their claims are turned down. An ESA panel will look in more detail about issues that prevent you from working and as such they will take much more information into account. A common statistic attached to the ESA is that all claims that are turned down and subsequently appealed against are overturned in 40% of the time.
