Ankle Callus-help?

On my ankles[not bottom of foot, but side] the outer part, has calluses. They are like brown bc they are like dead skin. Nothing seems to help. They are NOT caused by excessive pressure or anything like that. I have been looking up why i have this and found nothing. They were really noticable and people have been asking me O my goodness what did you do to youself! I have no idea how they came about[nor how logn they've been there] but yeah. They don't hurt. What is this from? Why are they there?? And please dont give me sites on calluses they dont help bc they onyl talk about calluses on the bottom of your feet. And mine are on the side and NOT caused by excess pressure[like rollar blades.] Please help!
