Not a single Iranian diplomat accepted Obama's invitation?

to celebrate our freedom on July 4th. So now the news says we have rescinded our invitation. Is this a way of saving face, since none of them planned on coming anyway?? Would it have been to embarrasing if Obama was at the big party & his special guests didn't show up?
