How do you keep the board under you when you tre flip?

Ok. I have the perfect flip and perfect spin for a tre flip, but I only land with my back foot and not both feet no matter how much I try. I never no when the tail touches the ground only when I pop the tail so I can scoop the tail in front of me and then board will stay directly under me and I don't know how to get the tail to go in front of me. Any tips on how I know when tail touches the ground when I pop it and how to scoop tail to go in front of me. Thanks.
