Can someone please translate this? Italian to english.?

I am getting a tattoo in honor of my husband & his strong Italian heritage. I don't want to put his name on me so this is my alternative. I'm looking to get 'live in love' in Italian.. I've asked his family and they've told me it translates to 'vivere nell'amore'. They're Italian and speak it, but I want to get as many opinions as I can. This is my first tattoo and I don't want to screw it up. We'll be going to Italy for our honeymoon and I'd be embarred if someone pointed out a mistake in my tattoo, haha. Also, I'd like "One step at a time" translated into Italian. Any other cute / meaningful sayings suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks!
